To make an “F minor seventh” (Fm7) chord we use

the 1^st note F

the b3^rd (half step lower from the 3^rd) note G#

the 5^th note C

the b7^th (half step lower from the 7^th) note D#

This gives us the notes F, G#, C and D# which form the “F minor seventh” chord
